Reading NEMA Nomenclature

The NEMA numbering system uses four identifiers to describe an electrical device. The example below indicates that we are looking at a locking plug device with a voltage rating of 125 VAC and an amperage rating of 15 amps. Note: NEMA standards only extend to 60 amps in non-locking and 30 amp in critical locking ranges.
